Tonight’s Play of the Day comes in the NHL where I have locked in a Team Total in the game between the New York Rangers and the Colorado Avalanche.

The Rangers are coming off an embarrassing 1-0 loss at home and now get to play a weakened Colorado Avalanche defence that will be missing Devon Toews, who entered the COVID-19 protocol this morning. The Avalanche rank 26th in the NHL in goals allowed per game (3.36), 26th in penalty kill (76%) and the Rangers have the 7th best power play (24.1%) in the NHL. In addition, the Avs have given up a power play goal in 6 straight games, while the Rangers have scored a power play goal in 8 of their last 10 games. While I do think the Rangers are live dogs tonight (+165), I am more confident in them scoring at least 3 goals. The Rangers got embarrassed to this Avs last last week losing 7-3 on home ice so I am expecting them to come out firing tonight and

I trust them on the road. They have an impressive 10-3-2 road record, including 4 straight wins averaging 4.25 goals. I am backing the Rangers to find their offence and score 3+ goals once again on the Avalanche who are now missing star defenceman Devon Toews.
